Parkridge Health System

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – After four years of providing robotic surgical services on two campuses, Parkridge Health System is consolidating its robotic surgery program on the Parkridge East campus and establishing the new Center for Robotic Surgery at Parkridge East Hospital.

Parkridge has led the way in robotics for a decade, bringing Chattanooga’s first da Vinci robotic surgical system to Parkridge Medical Center in 2002 and expanding the technology to Parkridge East six years later. More than 3,000 robotic surgeries have been performed at Parkridge hospitals, and many of Chattanooga’s robotically-trained physicians developed their skills on Parkridge Health System’s robotic systems.

“Since bringing robotic surgery to the Chattanooga area, we have built one of the busiest robotics programs in the nation,” notes Parkridge East Hospital CEO Jarrett Millsaps. “By consolidating our health system’s robotics services, we are able to bring our considerable experience to bear in one location and ensure our patients and physicians receive the best surgical care available.”

Robotic surgery offers benefits for many patients including less blood loss during procedures, shorter hospital stays and a quicker recovery time. The Center for Robotic Surgery at Parkridge East will specialize in gynecologic, urologic and general procedures. For more information about The Center, visit ParkridgeHealth.com.
